O`KEY resets to zero the margin on certain significant goods


O`KEY Group S.A. (LSE: OKEY, the ‘Group’), one of the leading Russian food retailers, is launching a nationwide social programme called ‘Stay healthy with us, we take care of the rest’, where it will place zero margin on ultra-fresh category products featured in its weekly ‘Fresh News’ leaflets.

The programme will apply to staple fresh products with a short shelf life necessary for a healthy weekly diet. That includes fresh fruit and vegetables, essential for a strong immune system, as well as chilled meat and fish, bakery, poultry, eggs and dairy products. Zero margin means that O`KEY stores will offer products tagged ‘Stay Healthy – 0% Markup’ at wholesale prices. The programme will operate across all O`KEY stores from 16 April to 6 May.

‘Stay healthy with us, we take care of the rest’ is just one of the social initiatives O`KEY has rolled out to support everyone during this difficult time of COVID-19 outbreak. O`KEY is committed to ensuring the availability and affordability of food products, and maximise safety for customers visiting the stores. In addition to dropping markups on certain products, all O`KEY stores have implemented strict disinfection protocols and are monitoring employees’ health. Our special programme ‘Older People Hour’ allows the most vulnerable group of the pandemic to enjoy priority service between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m.
